The kids and I had a great time at Aquatica in Orlando. To begin with, it's always sunny in Florida which is why I love going back, time and time again. I have a lot of happy childhood memories at Disney World and I love taking my kids to the theme parks in Florida, which they love to bits as well. We started off with the water rides - the most fantastic being the Taumata Racer, a 300 foot waterslide where you slide down, it's almost like a water roller-coaster. I raced the kids down.... I came last. I pretended like I let them win. The best thing about the waterslide is that you go through a tube through which you can see dolphins - quite amazing. Then it was off to the children's water playground which Bradley adored - he didn't want to leave, and I had to convince him he was hungry so we could eat lunch. After that, it was more water rides and lying on the beach, trying to get rid of my pasty British skin and the kids making sandcastles. It was almost picture-perfect but my kids are beyond civility so it wasn't long before they started acting up, throwing sand all over the place and making a nuisance of themselves. So much for my tan!! It was off to the wave pools and more water rides, the only thing that would keep them happy, and actually, ended up being my favourite part of the trip too.
