Default What are your plans for 2009?

We've just booked our summer holiday for 2009. After a bit of deliberation we've decided to head out to Greece again and booked for a fortnight in Rhodes.

Where are you going in 2009?

We've not decided exactly what we are doing for our main summer holiday yet. We are mulling over a couple of options but with the financial side of things in the holiday industry still a worry, we've hung fire on booking anywhere. We are hoping to get to Florida, but I think that may well be in 2010 based on the strength of the pound at the moment.

We'll decide what we are going to do in the summer after Christmas I think. At the moment we are looking at either Italy, Portugal or Spain. We've been to Greece a lot so fancy a change this year even though we love it there.

We are off to Ireland during Whit week for a week staying on the West Coast near a place called Cleggan.

Then in the summer we are off to Salobrena near Malaga in Southern Spain, staying in a Villa for two weeks.

I think that will be it for us this year though, I don't think the way things are financially at home or abroad will permit us to go anywhere else.

Just to update, we've had a bit of a family conflab over the new year and it seems now that we are going to be heading off to Portugal once again. The in laws have been several times and are keen to show it to us, so we have agreed we'll do it this summer.

We are also looking at possibly taking the kids somewhere for the week they are off school at the end of May. Possibly the Lake District, but we may also head to Northern France depending on finances.

Whatever we do I'm looking forward to it now, it always seems more real when you have finally decided where you want to go and start the process of looking at places and booking.
